Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Ordered the 5 steak taco special for 8 bucks with a side of rice and beans. It was all pretty good not dry like some of the other comments mentioned. The mild sauce was good with just the right amount of cilantro. The guys working there were really friendly, great customer service.

I took the time to read through the previous reviews before I posted so that I could be completely objective, but this was a complete waste of money! Being Cinco De Mayo, I expected the food to be awesome as this is THE day to eat Mexican food! WRONG!! I owned a restaurant that sold Tex/Mex items, and I would NEVER serve food like this! The meat was pre-cooked and rested on the cold part of the grill (see other posts) and after the reheat, my burrito tasted like beef jerky with trimmings! The re-fried beans were barely there and the tortilla shell was nearly scorched. After two bites, I couldn't eat anymore. I'll admit they were busy, but that shouldn't mitigate the horrible condition of the meat! It's not like they didn't know today was coming and that they would probably be busy. Summary - Worse. Burrito. Ever!!!!!! Should have gone home and cooked my own food :(

Never go eat here after 11am. You will be disappointed because of the dried meat they give. In all actuality they are not complying with proper food temps. Their meat is precooked and set on the cool side of the grill. This is not acceptable in the food industry and the should have a random busy from a health inspector. Don't waste your money a few miles down cecero u can have the best AUTHENTIC Mexican food around at El Polo

Ew gross. It's not Mexican food and its not fresh. They serve dried up meat here. They have piles of meat on the cool part of the grill and when u order they slide some of it over to heat it up and I wouldn't mind that I guess but it wasn't good at all. I have two tostadas. One chicken and one steak. The chicken is diced white meat with no authentic Mexican flavor at all. The same goes for the steak. My bf had beef tacos he like it. But my standards for Mexican are high I guess.

Simple and delicious. They have a taco plate of 5 tacos for $7. The ingredients were cooked to perfection and the steak was not over cooked. If you dine in keep in mind...it's nothing special. I think this place used to be an old Taco Bell. You do get a basket of chips and salsa at no charge. I left here really happy and I will go again. If I could I would give this place 3.5 stars.

This place has great steak...I've only ever carried out but I always get their steak burritos and they're delicious and they're big. They did burn my burrito tortilla once and that kinda ruined the burrito a little bit.

I have been coming here since they have opened and this place never fails me. I have only ordered chicken tacos from here so I can't really speak on anything else, but I must say that this place has some of the BEST chicken tacos ever. Maybe it's the fact that they use real pieces of white meat chicken as opposed to the many Mexican restaurants that use chicken meat that's to the equivalent of dog food. The chicken almost reminds me of the chicken they serve at Chipotle, except it's seasoned a little better. Overall, I'm always a happy customer when I eat at what a taco!

I really enjoy this place. I try to make it here once or twice a week. They have great tacos. No real place to sit down but for carry-out, great. They have good horchata too, and fresh menudo soup daily...if you like that. Try it out.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
